POWERLESS

Behind the Scenes: I asked my buddy „chatGPT“ if he could write lyrics for my Powerless song. The answer and the lyrics came within a second! See below. After that still needed a suitable singer. Another buddy of me, „uberduck“ then provided the AI generated vocals.

Verse 1:
The lights go out, the city’s dark
A crisis looms, we missed the mark
We knew this day would come, we ignored the signs
Now we’re left in the cold, trying to find our way blind

Chorus:
Electricity, we took it for granted
Now we’re paying the price, our world’s been slanted
We need a solution, a new way to power
Or we’ll face more blackouts, more dark hours

Verse 2:
The grid is strained, we need to conserve
But we’re addicted, we can’t unnerve
We need to find a way, to break the cycle
To use energy wisely, to be more mindful

Chorus:
Electricity, we took it for granted
Now we’re paying the price, our world’s been slanted
We need a solution, a new way to power
Or we’ll face more blackouts, more dark hours

Bridge:
Electricity, we need to change
It’s time to break free from this old age
A new dawn awaits, we just need to believe
And we’ll have the power we need, to achieve

(instrumental part)

Outro:
Solar, wind, hydro, and more
There are options, we can explore
But we need to act, we can’t delay
Or we’ll be left in the dark, day after day

Chorus:
Electricity, we took it for granted
Now we’re paying the price, our world’s been slanted
We need a solution, a new way to power
Or we’ll face more blackouts, more dark hours

SOLAR DANCE

The music video „Solar Dance“ is dedicated against climate change and violence. Dancing is a solution!

Enjoy and dance!

Blackout

The instrumental song tells the story of a „garage“ band that experiences several power outages during drills and they have to restart the diesel generator over and over again. However, the sounds of the generator do not fit their original musical style. There is nothing else to do but to adapt the music to integrate the sounds of the power generator into the music. Do the blackouts then lead to an improvement of the songs?
